Referral to a family doctor (HAVF) – What does this mean for you as a patient?

In certain cases, your family doctor may issue you with a so-called family doctor referral (HAVF). This means:

  • Your family doctor will arrange an urgent appointment with a specialist, for example for a radiological examination (CT or MRI).
  • A HAVF is only possible if you have not yet had an appointment with us in the current quarter.
  • The HAVF can only be used once per quarter.
  • Referrals are made exclusively by your family doctor—please feel free to speak to them if necessary.

Important:

With a referral letter, you will usually get an appointment with us more quickly. Please bring the relevant referral letter with you to your appointment.

If you have any questions, we will be happy to help!
