Focus on men's health: prostate screening using state-of-the-art MRI technology
Frank Werthebach

Every year in November, men around the world grow moustaches to raise awareness of men's health issues. Movember (the name is a portmanteau of “moustache” and “November”) focuses in particular on education and early detection of prostate and testicular cancer – because the earlier changes are detected, the better the chances of recovery.

Why early detection is so important

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It often progresses without symptoms for a long time, which is why screening plays a crucial role. In addition to urological examinations and PSA tests, modern magnetic resonance imaging (prostate MRI) offers a particularly gentle and precise method for detecting changes in the prostate at an early stage and assessing them more accurately.

Prostate MRI – precise, radiation-free, groundbreaking

Prostate MRI allows us to visualize tissue changes in the prostate in detail—without any exposure to radiation. Our highly specialized radiologists use state-of-the-art MRI technology to:

· reliably detect suspicious areas,

· avoid unnecessary biopsies,

· and, in the event of a diagnosis, to enable targeted treatment.

Working together for men's health

Movember reminds us how important it is to talk about men's health and take responsibility for our own preventive care. Use Movember as an opportunity to take action—for yourself or for the men in your life.

Schedule an appointment for your prostate MRI now—and take a step toward better health.
