Coronary CT angiography: Now covered by health insurance for patients with statutory insurance

Since the beginning of 2025, coronary CT angiography has also been a service available to patients with statutory health insurance if coronary heart disease is suspected. The prerequisite for this is that the referral from the family doctor or cardiologist states the pre-test probability of CHD (this must be between 15-70%) and the score used to determine this pre-test probability (e.g., Marburg Heart Score, DISCHARGE Score, ESC Score).
