Since January 1, 2023, patients with suspected or confirmed prostate cancer have benefited from a nationwide selective contract between MEDIQX health management GmbH, the Professional Association of German Radiologists (Berufsverband der Deutschen Radiologen e.V.), and GWQ ServicePlus AG.
Your advantages as a patient
Under this contract, you can be offered a modern, non-invasive diagnostic method: multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) of the prostate. This examination is painless and does not involve radiation exposure, and enables precise detection and localization of suspected cancerous lesions.
mpMRI serves as the basis for further therapeutic steps—for example, for a targeted, image-guided prostate biopsy.
Participation requirements
- You are insured with a participating health insurance company.
- There is an elevated PSA level and/or abnormal findings on digital rectal examination.
- There is a suspicion or confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer.
- Participation in the selective contract is generally only possible once.
